During the month of July, QMT Windchimes is proud to support Compassion International, a foundation built on the principle of “Releasing Children from Poverty Around the World.” QMT will donate 20% of our general online sales on our website to this exceptional organization that “to date, has touched the lives of more than 2 million children, working with more than 65 denominations and thousands of indigenous church partners.” At QMT, we believe in partnering with organizations that not only have financial integrity but those that make a difference in the lives of others. Compassion International is involved in many aspects of bettering the lives of children across the globe, from providing urgent medical assistance to providing basic necessities such as food and education.
Compassion International exists as an advocate for children, releasing them from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enabling them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Founded by Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 1.2 million children in more than 26 countries. All of Compassion’s programs are rooted in Christian child development and child advocacy. It’s truly a long-term process, beginning in some cases with prenatal care and going all the way through college with its leadership development program for qualified young adults.
As you think about making a purchase for a loved one or friend or even for your own home or garden, take a moment to think of those suffering locally or abroad and remember 20% of your purchase this month on our website goes to improved the lives of those children who are affected by poverty that Compassion International aids. If compassion is about anything, it is about choosing solidarity with those in need. In a literal sense it means “to suffer with.” Compassion International “(brings) hope and joy to the children (they) exist to serve”
