QMT Supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Joy to Life in May!

In honor of Mother’s Day, QMT Windchimes is proud to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as well as the Joy to Life Foundation during the month of May. While QMT Windchimes regularly and actively supports both organizations through the sales of our For the Girls pink wind chime sales, we will ADDITIONALLY support them this month by donating 20% of our general online sales on our website.  These outstanding organizations work tirelessly to find a cure to this disease that affects so many of our loved ones! We would also like to take this month to reflect on a personal experience within our community by honoring some of our very close friends who have just started the chemotherapy process. Please help us support both of these organizations by shopping with us during the month of May!

QMT Windchimes is proud to donate 50% of all For the Girls® pink wind chime sales to these and other nonprofit organizations seeking a cure or promoting awareness of breast cancer. These beautiful and melodic windchimes were created by owner, Patty Baisden, who was inspired by her own mother’s personal experience with Breast Cancer. We hope that the soothing resonance of our For the Girls® chimes brings hope and encouragement for those fighting the battle and the bright melodies sing a victory song to survivors! The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide and increasing public awareness about good breast health.  BCRF is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Currently, more than 90 cents of every dollar donated is directed to breast cancer research and awareness programs.

The Joy to Life Foundation is a non-profit organization providing free mammograms for medically underserved women currently 40 – 49 years of age in 29 counties in South Central Alabama. The organization was founded in 2001 by Joy and Richard Blondheim of Montgomery, Alabama. Joy Blondheim, a breast cancer survivor, along with her husband, Richard, are dedicating their time and efforts to women who are fighting to win the battle against breast cancer. After extensive research to uncover the greatest needs, a partnership was formed between the Blondheims and the Alabama Department of Public Health’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.
